Ingredients:

1 cup clams / kakka irachi / elambakka, cleaned

3 onions, thinly sliced

1 tsp ginger, chopped

1/2 tsp garlic, chopped

4-5 green chillies, chopped

1 sprig curry leaves, chopped

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4 tsp garam masala

1 3/4-2 cups gram flour / kadalamavu

salt to taste

oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. In a bowl, add cleaned clams, sliced onion, ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves, coriander leaves, chilli powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and salt and mix well.
  2. Add gram flour and required water little by little and mix well with hand.
  3. Heat oil in a pan, drop little batter using hand and fry till it turns golden brown in medium flame.
  4. Remove it from the oil and drain them on a paper towel....Serve hot with tea/ coffee...
