Ingredients:
113 gm unsalted butter ( for browning)
170 gm chopped chocolate
180 gm ( 3/4 cup + 2 tbsp) caster sugar
2 eggs
80 gm ( 2/3 cup) plain flour
3 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 tsp salt
Preparation:
- Preheat the oven to 180 degree celcius and line an 8x8 inch baking pan with baking paper.
- In a saucepan, brown butter until golden and keep it aside.
- Melt the chopped chocolate in the microwave until smooth and then stir in the browned butter and let cool slightly.
- In another bowl, whisk the sugar and eggs until light and fluffy.
- Add the chocolate - butter mixture to the eggs and sugar, and whisk until fully combined.
- Add the plain flour, cocoa powder and salt and fold in until just incorporated.
- Then pour the brownie batter into the prepared pan and smooth the top.
- Bake in the preheated oven for 20-22 minutes or until a skewer inserted at the centre of the brownie comes out clean.
