Ingredients:
2 drumsticks / muringakka
1 cup grated coconut
4 green chillies
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 cup yoghurt
1 1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 sprig curry leaves
2 dry red chillies
salt to taste
2 tsp oil
Preparation:
- Cut drumsticks into pieces and keep it aside.
- In a pressure cooker, add the chopped drumsticks, 2 slit green chillies, salt and 1/2 cup of water and cook for 1 whistle.
- Grind grated coconut with cumin seeds, 2 green chillies and 1/2 tsp mustard seeds to a paste adding 2-3 tbsp water.
- Add the ground coconut paste and yoghurt to the cooked drumstick and mix well. Adjust the salt and cook for 2-3 minutes. Don't allow to boil.
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter 1 tsp mustard seeds. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves and pour this over the pachadi…Mix well and serve with rice…
