Easy Beef Curry / Pressure Cooker Beef Curry

Ingredients:

1/2 kg beef, cut into pieces

1 onion, sliced

2 green chillies, chopped

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 tbsp chilli powder

1 1/2 tbsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp fennel powder

1 tomato, chopped

1 sprig curry leaves

salt to taste

1 cardamom

1/2 tsp fenugreek seeds

2 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker and add cardamom and fenugreek seeds.
  2. Add sliced onion, green chillies and ginger-garlic paste and saute well.
  3. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, pepper powder, fennel powder and salt and mix well.
  4. Add chopped tomato and curry leaves and saute well till soft.
  5. Add cleaned beef pieces into this and mix well.
  6. Then add 1/3 cup of water, mix well and cook at high flame for 1 whistle and then lower the flame and cook for 5-6 whistles or till done.
  7. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and mix well. Serve with neer dosa, pathiri , ghee rice, puttu etc..
