Egg Tikka Masala

Ingredients:

5-6 hardboiled eggs

2 medium tomatoes, chopped

1/2 cup coriander leaves, chopped

1/4 cup mint leaves

3-4 green chillies

2 medium onions, chopped

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1 tsp coriander powder

1/4 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

3-4 tbsp yogurt

2 tsp kasuri methi, crushed

1/4 cup fresh cream

1 tsp cumin seeds

2 cinnamon pieces

2-3 cardamoms

2-3 tbsp oil

Preparation:

  1. Boil the eggs and remove its shell. Then using egg slicer, cut the eggs into slices and keep it aside.
  2. In a blender, add chopped tomatoes, coriander leaves, mint leaves and green chillies and grind to a paste.
  3. Heat 2-3 tbsp oil in a thick bottomed pan and add cumin seeds, cinnamon and cardamoms and stir fry on medium flame.
  4. Add chopped onion and ginger-garlic paste and saute well until onion turns light brown.
  5. Add the blended paste, salt, kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, cumin powder, coriander powder, pepper powder and garam masala and mix well and cook on low flame till the raw smell goes.
  6. Add yogurt and mix well and cook till the oil begins to separate.
  7. Then add 3/4 cup of water and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
  8. When it boils well, add the egg slices and kasuri methi and stir gently.
  9. Add fresh cream into this and mix well.
  10. Garnish with chopped coriander leaves and remove from the flame. Serve with chapathi, naan etc…
