Mutta Ulli Vada / Egg Onion Pakoda

Ingredients:
4 boiled eggs, cut each into half
4 onions, thinly sliced
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tsp ginger, chopped
1 sprig curry leaves, chopped
1/2 tsp asafoetida
2 cups gram flour / besan / kadala mavu
1 1/2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
oil, for frying
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, add sliced onions, chopped green chillies, ginger, curry leaves, salt and asafoetida and mix well with hand.
- Then add gram flour, kashmiri chilli powder and turmeric powder and mix well adding little water.
- Take some onion mixture and flatten it and place a piece of egg and cover the egg completely with little onion mixture and shape into balls.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them until it turns golden brown on all sides at medium flame.
- Remove from the oil and drain them on a paper towel....Serve with tea or coffee....
