Fish / Meen Chikki Porichathu

Ingredients:

1/2 kg thick fleshed fish pieces

1 tsp pepper powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

salt to taste

2 sprig curry leaves

10 shallots, crushed

5 garlic cloves, crushed

2 dry red chillies

2 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

2 tbsp coconut oil

Preparation:

  1. Clean the fish pieces and marinate it with pepper powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, salt and few curry leaves and cook till done adding 2-3 tbsp water.
  2. Then crush the fish pieces well until it is minced. ( If the fish pieces have bones, remove bones ).
  3. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add crushed shallots and saute well till soft and light golden.
  4. Add crushed garlic and saute well.
  5. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves and saute well together till raw smell goes.
  6. Add kashmiri chilli powder and minced fish and mix well.
  7. Adjust the salt and fry well until it is brown and crispy. Serve with rice...
