Ingredients:


1/2 cup foxtail millet

1/2 cup grated coconut

salt to taste

water, as required

oil, to drizzle


Preparation:


  1. Soak foxtail millet in water for 5-6 hours.
  2. In a blender, add drained foxtail millet, grated coconut, salt and 1/4 cup of water and grind well together to a smooth batter.
  3. Transfer to a bowl and add 1 cup of water and mix well.
  4. Heat a non stick pan on medium flame.
  5. Pour a ladleful of batter on hot pan and rotate the pan to spread the batter evenly and drizzle little oil.
  6. Cover with a lid and cook on low flame till the dosa is cooked for about 1-2 minutes.
  7. Remove it from the pan and transfer to a plate.
  8. Mix the batter well before each preparation of dosa. Repeat the same process with remaining batter until all the batter is used up.
  9. Serve with any chutney or veg/ non-veg curry...
