Ingredients:
1/2 cup foxtail millet
1/2 cup grated coconut
salt to taste
water, as required
oil, to drizzle
Preparation:
- Soak foxtail millet in water for 5-6 hours.
- In a blender, add drained foxtail millet, grated coconut, salt and 1/4 cup of water and grind well together to a smooth batter.
- Transfer to a bowl and add 1 cup of water and mix well.
- Heat a non stick pan on medium flame.
- Pour a ladleful of batter on hot pan and rotate the pan to spread the batter evenly and drizzle little oil.
- Cover with a lid and cook on low flame till the dosa is cooked for about 1-2 minutes.
- Remove it from the pan and transfer to a plate.
- Mix the batter well before each preparation of dosa. Repeat the same process with remaining batter until all the batter is used up.
