Ingredients:


1/2 kg chicken pieces

1/2 cup coriander leaves

1/2 cup mint leaves

4 green chillies

1" piece ginger, chopped

6-7 big garlic cloves

1/4 cup yogurt

lemon juice of 1/2 lemon

salt to taste

1 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala

1/2-1 tsp pepper powder

1 onion, chopped

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

1 1/2 tbsp ghee

1 tbsp butter

1 sprig curry leaves

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped


Preparation:


  1. In a blender, add mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, garlic, garlic, yogurt, lemon juice and salt and grind well to a paste.
  2. Take the cleaned chicken pieces in a bowl and add the ground green paste, turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper powder and mix well.
  3. Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped onion and saute well adding little salt.
  4. Add marinated chicken and little water and mix well and cook covered at medium flame, stirring in between.
  5. When almost cooked, add butter and curry leaves and mix well and cook covered till done.
  6. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the flame. Serve hot...
