Ingredients:
1/2 kg chicken pieces
1/2 cup coriander leaves
1/2 cup mint leaves
4 green chillies
1" piece ginger, chopped
6-7 big garlic cloves
1/4 cup yogurt
lemon juice of 1/2 lemon
salt to taste
1 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp garam masala
1/2-1 tsp pepper powder
1 onion, chopped
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 1/2 tbsp ghee
1 tbsp butter
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Preparation:
- In a blender, add mint leaves, coriander leaves, green chillies, ginger, garlic, garlic, yogurt, lemon juice and salt and grind well to a paste.
- Take the cleaned chicken pieces in a bowl and add the ground green paste, turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper powder and mix well.
- Heat ghee in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped onion and saute well adding little salt.
- Add marinated chicken and little water and mix well and cook covered at medium flame, stirring in between.
- When almost cooked, add butter and curry leaves and mix well and cook covered till done.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the flame. Serve hot...
