Ingredients:


3/4 cup green peas

4-5 hard boiled eggs

1 big onion, sliced

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

2 green chillies

1 tomato, chopped

2 tbsp coriander powder

1 tsp chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

1/2 cup warm milk

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

2 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Wash and soak the green peas in water for 5-6 hours. Drain the water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion and saute until light brown.
  3. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.
  4. Add chopped green chillies and tomato and saute well until the tomato turns soft.
  5. Add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala and mix well until the raw smell goes.
  6. Then add drained green peas, salt and 1 1/2 cup of water and cook for 4 whistles or till done.
  7. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and add warm milk and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
  8. Add boiled eggs and chopped coriander leaves and mix well and boil for 1-2 minutes.
  9. Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.. Serve with chapati, pathiri, appam, neer dosa etc....
