Ingredients:
3/4 cup green peas
4-5 hard boiled eggs
1 big onion, sliced
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
2 green chillies
1 tomato, chopped
2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
1/2 cup warm milk
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Wash and soak the green peas in water for 5-6 hours. Drain the water and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced onion and saute until light brown.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute for 2 minutes.
- Add chopped green chillies and tomato and saute well until the tomato turns soft.
- Add coriander powder, chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala and mix well until the raw smell goes.
- Then add drained green peas, salt and 1 1/2 cup of water and cook for 4 whistles or till done.
- Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and add warm milk and mix well and cook for 2 minutes.
- Add boiled eggs and chopped coriander leaves and mix well and boil for 1-2 minutes.
- Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.. Serve with chapati, pathiri, appam, neer dosa etc....
