Ingredients:


1 cup green peas

1 big potato, chopped into small pieces

1 big tomato

1 medium onion, chopped

1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

3-4 green chillies, chopped

1 sprig curry leaves

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tbsp chilli powder

1 tbsp coriander powder

1 tsp chicken masala

1/2 tsp garam masala

1/2 tsp cumin seeds

salt to taste

1 tbsp kasuri methi

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

1- 1 1/2 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Soak green peas in water for 5-6 hours. Then cook it adding salt and enough water till done and keep it aside.
  2. Grind 1 big tomato into a paste and keep it aside.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped onion and saute well adding little salt.
  4. Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well. Add green chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
  5. Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and chicken masala and saute till raw smell goes.
  6. Add tomato paste and little water and mix well and saute well till raw taste goes.
  7. Add chopped potato and salt and mix well. Add 1 1/2 cup hot water into this and cook covered for 10 minutes.
  8. Then add cooked green peas along with its water and boil well for 5 minutes.
  9. Adjust the salt and water adding hot water.
  10. Add garam masala and mix well.
  11. Add kasuri methi and chopped coriander leaves and mix well and boil for 2 minutes.
