Ingredients:
1 cup green peas
1 big potato, chopped into small pieces
1 big tomato
1 medium onion, chopped
1 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
3-4 green chillies, chopped
1 sprig curry leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp chicken masala
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
salt to taste
1 tbsp kasuri methi
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
1- 1 1/2 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Soak green peas in water for 5-6 hours. Then cook it adding salt and enough water till done and keep it aside.
- Grind 1 big tomato into a paste and keep it aside.
- Heat oil in a pan and add cumin seeds. When it splutters, add chopped onion and saute well adding little salt.
- Add ginger-garlic paste and saute well. Add green chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add turmeric powder, chilli powder, coriander powder and chicken masala and saute till raw smell goes.
- Add tomato paste and little water and mix well and saute well till raw taste goes.
- Add chopped potato and salt and mix well. Add 1 1/2 cup hot water into this and cook covered for 10 minutes.
- Then add cooked green peas along with its water and boil well for 5 minutes.
- Adjust the salt and water adding hot water.
- Add garam masala and mix well.
- Add kasuri methi and chopped coriander leaves and mix well and boil for 2 minutes.
- Switch off the flame and serve hot...
