Ingredients:
1 cup oats
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 tbsp peanuts
1/4 tsp asafoetida
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1 tsp urad dal
1 tsp chana dal
2 dry red chillies, broken
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
1 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan at medium flame and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add urad dal, chana dal, peanuts, dry red chillies, green chilli and curry leaves and fry for a minute.
- Add asafoetida and turmeric powder into this and mix well.
- Add 1 1/4 cup of water and salt and bring to a boil.
- Add oats and mix well and cook covered for 3 minutes at low-medium flame.
- Finally add lemon juice, mix well and cook for 1-2 minutes on low flame. Remove from the flame and serve hot...
