Ingredients:


1 1/2 cup semiya / vermicelli

1-2 green chillies, finely chopped

1 tsp ginger, finely chopped

1 sprig curry leaves

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

6-8 cashew nuts

1 tsp urad dal

1/2 tsp mustard seeds

2 dry red chillies

salt to taste

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Boil water in a pan and add semiya and salt and cook till soft. Drain the water and keep it aside. ( Don't overcook the semiya)
  2. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
  3. Add urad dal, dry red chillies, curry leaves and cashew nuts and saute till golden.
  4. Add chopped ginger and green chilli and mix well.
  5. Add turmeric powder into this and mix well.
  6. Then add cooked semiya and mix well for 2 minutes. Adjust the salt.
  7. Add lemon juice and chopped coriander leaves and mix well for 2 minutes on low flame. Remove from the flame and serve hot…
