Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
1 medium sized ripe banana
2 tbsp yogurt/ curd
1 tsp cumin seeds
2 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp salt
oil for frying
Preparation:
- In a large bowl, add banana and sugar and mash it thoroughly without any lumps.
- Add yogurt, baking soda, cumin seeds and salt and mix well.
- Add plain flour to this and knead to a soft dough. Let it rest for at least 4 hours.
- Then knead it again and make equal sized balls out of this dough and roll each dough in a floured surface into thick rounds using a rolling pin.
- Heat oil in a pan and deep fry them in the hot oil till they are puffed and golden brown on both sides at medium flame.
