Ingredients:
2 cups makhana / lotus seeds
1/2-1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp chat masala
1/4 tsp salt
1 tbsp ghee
Preparation:
- Heat 1 1/2 tsp ghee in a pan and add makhana and roast on low flame for 4-5 minutes until they are crisp. Transfer to a plate.
- Add 1 1/2 tsp ghee in the same pan at very low flame and add chilli powder, turmeric powder, chat masala and salt and mix well. Do not burn the spices.
- Now add the roasted makhana and toss well for about 2 minutes, till the spices are well coated.
- Remove from the flame and let it cool to room temperature and then serve or store in an airtight container...
- Adjust the masala / seasoning to your taste ....
