Ingredients:


2 cups makhana / lotus seeds

1/2-1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tsp chat masala

1/4 tsp salt

1 tbsp ghee


Preparation:


  1. Heat 1 1/2 tsp ghee in a pan and add makhana and roast on low flame for 4-5 minutes until they are crisp. Transfer to a plate.
  2. Add 1 1/2 tsp ghee in the same pan at very low flame and add chilli powder, turmeric powder, chat masala and salt and mix well. Do not burn the spices.
  3. Now add the roasted makhana and toss well for about 2 minutes, till the spices are well coated.
  4. Remove from the flame and let it cool to room temperature and then serve or store in an airtight container...
