Ingredients:
1 cup plain flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
1/2 tsp cumin seeds
1 tsp salt
1/2 cup yogurt
3/4 cup water , or as required
1 tsp ginger, finely chopped
1-2 green chillies, finely chopped
1 tbsp curry leaves, chopped
2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
oil for frying
Preparation:
- In a mixing bowl, add plain flour, rice flour, baking soda, cumin seeds and salt and mix well.
- Add yogurt to this and mix well. Add water little by little and mix well to make a thick batter of dropping consistency.
- Add chopped ginger, green chillies, curry leaves and coriander leaves and mix well.
- Cover and keep the batter aside for 20 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan on medium flame and drop about 2 tbsp of batter into the hot oil and deep fry them till golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and drain them onto paper towel. Fry them in batches..Serve hot with chutney...
