Pan Grilled Lamb / Mutton Chops

Ingredients:

10-12 lamb / mutton chops

1 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp coriander powder

1 tsp cumin powder

1/2 tsp garam masala

1 tsp chilli flakes

salt to taste

2 tbsp vinegar

2 tbsp thick yogurt

1 tsp mustard paste

2 tbsp oil

Preparation:

  1. Wash the lamb chops very well and pat dry with a paper towel.
  2. In a large bowl, add kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder, ginger-garlic paste, pepper powder, coriander powder, cumin powder, garam masala, chilli flakes and salt and mix well.
  3. Add vinegar, yogurt and mustard paste into this and mix well.
  4. Now add lamb chops and marinate it well. Cover and refrigerate overnight or at least 7-8 hours.
  5. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a cast iron pan and place the marinated lamb chops on a single layer.
  6. Then cook them on low-medium flame 3-4 minutes on each side or till cooked. Don't over cook.
  7. Remove from the pan and serve warm....
