Ingredients:


3 pappadams

6 shallots, chopped

2 dry red chillies, broken

2 green chillies, chopped

2 garlic cloves, chopped

1 sprig curry leaves

3 cups cooked rice water ( kanji vellam), as required

salt to taste

coconut oil, as required


Preparation:


  1. Cut pappadams into small pieces and fry it in oil and keep it aside.
  2. Heat 1 1/2 tbsp coconut oil in a pan and add dry red chillies, shallots, green chillies, garlic and curry leaves and saute well.
  3. Add cooked rice water ( kanji vellam ) and salt and boil well.
  4. Add fried pappadam pieces and boil again.
  5. Remove from the flame and serve immediately with rice..
