Ingredients:


1 cup pomegranate arils (seeds)

1/4 cup sugar

1 tbsp lemon juice

1 lemon slice

1 green chilli, slit

a pinch of salt

2-3 tsp basil seeds

ice cubes


Preparation:


  1. Soak the basil seeds in 1/4 cup of water for 10-15 minutes.
  2. In a blender, add the pomegranate seeds and blend well adding 2-3 tbsp of water. Strain the juice and keep it aside.
  3. Mix sugar with 1 cup of water in a jug / bowl till the sugar dissolves. Keep it aside.
  4. In a shaker / bottle with lid, add pomegranate juice, prepared sugar syrup, lemon juice, lemon slice, slit green chilli, basil seeds and ice cubes.
  5. Close it with lid and shake well for 1-2 minutes. Pour into the serving glasses and serve immediately..
