Prawns Fried Rice

Ingredients:


2 cups basmati rice

250 gm cleaned prawns

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp + 1 tsp pepper powder

3/4 tsp ginger-garlic paste

salt to taste

1 tbsp garlic, finely chopped

1 small onion, finely chopped

1/2 cup cabbage, finely chopped

1/2 cup carrot, finely chopped

3-4 beans, finely chopped

1/2 cup capsicum, finely chopped

1/2 tsp sugar

1 tbsp soy sauce

oil, as required

2 tbsp spring onions, chopped


Preparation:


  1. Wash the rice and cook in a deep pan adding enough water and salt till done. Drain the water and keep it aside to cool.
  2. Clean the prawns and marinate it with chilli powder, 1 tsp pepper powder, ginger-garlic paste and salt and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
  3. Heat little oil in a pan and fry the marinated prawns and keep it aside.
  4. In the same pan, add chopped garlic and onion and saute.
  5. Add chopped cabbage, carrot, beans, capsicum and salt and saute for 2 minutes. Don't overcook the vegetables.
  6. Add 1 tsp pepper powder and sugar and mix well.
  7. Add soy sauce into this and mix well.
  8. Add cooked rice and fried prawns and mix gently on low flame till well combined.
  9. Heat it on low flame for about 4-5 minutes. Garnish with spring onion and remove from flame and serve hot...
