Ingredients:

2 puff pastry sheets, thawed

2 cups powdered sugar

2 tbsp milk

1 tsp vanilla essence

1/4 tsp salt

oil for frying

Preparation:

  1. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface.
  2. Cut circles out of puff pastry using 2 different sized round cookie cutters. (Cut out smaller circles in the centre of larger circles to make donut shape).
  3. Heat oil in a frying pan and fry the donuts in the hot oil at medium flame on each side until golden and puffed.
  4. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the powdered sugar, milk , vanilla essence and salt until smooth to make a glaze.
  5. Dip each donut into the glaze and place on a cooling rack until ready to serve..
