Ingredients:


1/2 cup quinoa

1/2 cup moong dal

1 onion, chopped

1 tomato, chopped

2 green chillies, slit

1 tsp ginger-garlic paste

1 carrot, chopped

10 beans, chopped

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

3 cloves

2 cardamoms

1 piece cinnamon

1/4 tsp mustard seeds

1 sprig curry leaves

1/2 tsp urad dal

1/2 tsp chana dal

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

salt to taste

1 tbsp lemon juice

3 tbsp ghee


Preparation:


  1. Wash and soak quinoa and moong dal in separate bowls for 30 minutes.
  2. Heat ghee in a pressure cooker and add cloves, cardamoms, cinnamon, mustard seeds, urad dal and chana dal.
  3. Once it splutters, add curry leaves, slit green chillies, ginger-garlic paste, chopped onion and tomato and saute well until the tomato turns soft.
  4. Add chopped carrot and beans and mix well.
  5. Add the drained quinoa, moong dal, turmeric powder and salt and mix well.
  6. Add 3 cups of water and stir everything together and bring to a boil.
  7. Then cook covered for 3 whistles and let it rest for 10 minutes.
  8. Open the lid and add chopped coriander leaves. Then squeeze in some fresh lemon juice and mix well and serve...
