Ingredients:

3/4 kg chicken, cut into pieces

2 tomatoes, chopped

8-10 dry kashmiri chillies

3 garlic cloves

1 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tbsp chilli sauce

1 tbsp soy sauce

1 tbsp ginger, chopped

1 tbsp ginger chopped

2 green chillies, chopped

2 big onions, chopped

1 tbsp chilli powder

1 tsp pepper powder

1/2 tsp sugar

salt to taste

2 tbsp oil

2-3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation:

  1. In a sauce pan, add chopped tomatoes and dry kashmiri chillies and cook it covered adding about 1- 1 1/4 cup of water for 10 minutes at low flame.
  2. Remove it from the flame and let it cool down. Then grind it with garlic cloves, tomato sauce, chilli sauce and soy sauce to a smooth paste.
  3. Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, chopped garlic and green chillies and saute well.
  4. Add chopped onion and saute well till transparent.
  5. Then add ground paste and little water and mix well for a minute.
  6. Add salt, sugar, chilli powder and pepper powder, mix well and cook covered for 3 minutes.
  7. Add cleaned chicken pieces into this, mix well and cook covered for 5-6 minutes.
  8. Now add 1/3 cup of water and cook covered till done.
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the flame.
  10. Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies and coriander leaves and serve hot...
