Ingredients:
3/4 kg chicken, cut into pieces
2 tomatoes, chopped
8-10 dry kashmiri chillies
3 garlic cloves
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp chilli sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
1 tbsp ginger, chopped
1 tbsp ginger chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
2 big onions, chopped
1 tbsp chilli powder
1 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp sugar
salt to taste
2 tbsp oil
2-3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
Preparation:
- In a sauce pan, add chopped tomatoes and dry kashmiri chillies and cook it covered adding about 1- 1 1/4 cup of water for 10 minutes at low flame.
- Remove it from the flame and let it cool down. Then grind it with garlic cloves, tomato sauce, chilli sauce and soy sauce to a smooth paste.
- Heat oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, chopped garlic and green chillies and saute well.
- Add chopped onion and saute well till transparent.
- Then add ground paste and little water and mix well for a minute.
- Add salt, sugar, chilli powder and pepper powder, mix well and cook covered for 3 minutes.
- Add cleaned chicken pieces into this, mix well and cook covered for 5-6 minutes.
- Now add 1/3 cup of water and cook covered till done.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well and switch off the flame.
- Garnish with 1/2 tsp chopped green chillies and coriander leaves and serve hot...
- Adjust the spice level according to your taste....
