Sausage Puffs

Ingredients:

200 gm sausages, chopped into small pieces

3 medium onions, chopped

2 tbsp garlic, crushed

1 tbsp ginger, crushed

2 green chillies, chopped

3 tsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1/4-1/2 tsp garam masala

salt to taste

2 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

puff pastry sheets, cut into 8 squares

1 beaten egg, for brushing

Preparation:

  1. Heat 2 tbsp oil in a pan and add chopped onion and saute adding little salt till light brown.
  2. Add crushed ginger, garlic and chopped green chillies and saute well till the raw smell goes.
  3. Add sausage pieces, mix well and cook for 4-5 minutes on medium flame.
  4. Then add kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala and mix well for 2 minutes. Adjust the salt.
  5. Add the chopped coriander leaves, mix well and switch off the flame.
  6. Thaw the puff pastry as per package instruction.
  7. Preheat the oven to 200 degree celcius and grease a baking tray with oil.
  8. Roll out the thawed puff pastry sheet on a lightly floured surface and cut into squares.
  9. Take the puff pastry square and place 1 1/2 tbsp of sausage masala on one side of the pastry and fold/ cover it with the other side and press to seal on the sides with a fork.
  10. Place all the folded puffs on a greased baking tray and brush the tops with the egg wash.
  11. Bake it in the preheated oven for 15-20 minutes or until the puffs turns golden brown. Serve with tea..
