Ingredients:


100 gm soya chunks

1 big onion, chopped

1 inch ginger, finely chopped

6 garlic cloves, finely chopped

2 green chillies, chopped

1 sprig curry leaves

1 tbsp coriander powder

1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp lemon juice

1 tbsp tomato sauce

1/2 tsp crushed pepper

salt to taste

3 tbsp coconut oil


Preparation:


  1. Boil 1 litre water adding salt and add soya chunks and boil for 4-5 minutes till soft.
  2. Then drain the water, rinse with cold water and squeeze out the excess water completely and keep it aside in a bowl.
  3. Heat coconut oil in a pan and add chopped ginger, garlic and green chillies and saute.
  4. Add chopped onion, curry leaves and little salt and saute well till golden at medium flame.
  5. Then reduce the flame to low and add coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder, turmeric powder and garam masala and saute.
  6. Add 1/4 cup of water and lemon juice and mix well.
  7. Add soya chunks and mix well at low flame for 3-4 minutes till well roasted.
  8. Add tomato sauce and crushed pepper and mix well for a minute.
  9. Adjust the salt and remove from the flame and serve hot...
