Ingredients:


1/2 cup rice rava / coarse puttu podi

1/2 cup milk

3/4-1 cup spinach leaves / 1/2 cup spinach paste

salt to taste

1 tsp sugar

1/4 cup grated coconut


Preparation:


  1. Heat a pan and saute the chopped spinach for a minute. Cool and then blend until smooth paste adding 1-2 tbsp water.
  2. In a bowl, add rice rava / puttu podi, milk, spinach paste, sugar and salt and mix well and keep it covered for 10 minutes.
  3. Add grated coconut into this and mix well.
  4. Transfer to a ghee greased steel plate and level it and sprinkle some grated coconut on top.
  5. Place it in a steamer and steam cook for 12-15 minutes until cooked and soft.
  6. Cut into pieces and serve with any curry of your choice...
