Sweet and Spicy Chicken Wings

Ingredients:

10 chicken wings

1 tbsp ginger-garlic, crushed

1 tsp black pepper powder, freshly ground

1 1/2 tsp soy sauce

salt to taste

1/4 cup oil

For Sauce:

2 tsp garlic, finely chopped

3 green chillies

1 tsp soy sauce

1 tbsp red chilli sauce

1 tbsp tomato sauce

1 tsp cornflour

1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice

1 1/2-2 tsp black pepper powder, freshly ground

2 tbsp spring onion, chopped

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

Preparation:

  1. Clean the chicken wings and marinate it with crushed ginger-garlic, 1 tsp pepper powder, 1 1/2 tsp soy sauce and salt. Keep it covered in the refrigerator for 2 hours.
  2. Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken wings till it is cooked and turns golden colour.
  3. Remove the fried chicken wings from the pan and keep it aside.
  4. Heat the same pan with oil ( add 1 tbsp oil if required) and add finely chopped garlic and green chillies and saute for a minute.
  5. Add 1 tsp soy sauce, red chilli sauce and tomato sauce to this and mix well and cook for a minute.
  6. Combine cornflour in 1/2 cup freshly squeezed orange juice and add it to the sauce mixture, stirring continuously and cook till thick.
  7. Add pepper powder, chopped spring onions and little salt and mix well.
  8. Add the fried chicken wings to this and combine evenly till well coated with sauce.
  9. Top it with chopped coriander leaves and remove from the flame. Serve hot...
