Tomato Chicken Gnocchi

Ingredients:


1 pack / 500 gm gnocchi

200 gm boneless chicken, cut into small pieces

1/2 + 1/2 tsp pepper powder

1/2 onion, chopped

1 tsp garlic, chopped

2 green chillies, chopped

1 tbsp tomato paste

1 tsp paprika

1 tsp chilli powder

1 tsp Italian herbs

1 cup pasta sauce

1 tsp sugar

1 tsp chicken stock powder

1/4 cup cream

2-3 tbsp parmesan cheese

salt to taste

1 tbsp butter

1 tbsp olive oil

mozzarella cheese, as required

parsley leaves, for garnish


Preparation:


  1. Soak gnocchi in hot water for 3 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of soaked water and drain the remaining water and keep it aside.
  2. Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan and add chicken pieces, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt and saute well and keep it aside.
  3. Heat 1 tbsp butter in the same pan and add chopped onion, garlic and green chillies and saute well till soft.
  4. Add tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
  5. Add paprika, chilli powder, Italian herbs, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt and mix well.
  6. Then pour in pasta sauce, sugar and reserved water mixed with 1 tsp chicken stock powder and mix well and simmer for 2 minutes.
  7. Add gnocchi and cooked chicken and mix well.
  8. Add cream and parmesan cheese and mix well and cook at low flame until the gnocchi is soft.
  9. Top with mozzarella cheese and parsley leaves and then serve...
