Tomato Chicken Gnocchi

Ingredients:
1 pack / 500 gm gnocchi
200 gm boneless chicken, cut into small pieces
1/2 + 1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 onion, chopped
1 tsp garlic, chopped
2 green chillies, chopped
1 tbsp tomato paste
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp chilli powder
1 tsp Italian herbs
1 cup pasta sauce
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp chicken stock powder
1/4 cup cream
2-3 tbsp parmesan cheese
salt to taste
1 tbsp butter
1 tbsp olive oil
mozzarella cheese, as required
parsley leaves, for garnish
Preparation:
- Soak gnocchi in hot water for 3 minutes. Reserve 1/2 cup of soaked water and drain the remaining water and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp olive oil in a pan and add chicken pieces, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt and saute well and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp butter in the same pan and add chopped onion, garlic and green chillies and saute well till soft.
- Add tomato paste and cook for 2-3 minutes.
- Add paprika, chilli powder, Italian herbs, 1/2 tsp pepper powder and salt and mix well.
- Then pour in pasta sauce, sugar and reserved water mixed with 1 tsp chicken stock powder and mix well and simmer for 2 minutes.
- Add gnocchi and cooked chicken and mix well.
- Add cream and parmesan cheese and mix well and cook at low flame until the gnocchi is soft.
- Top with mozzarella cheese and parsley leaves and then serve...
