Ingredients:
3/4 kg chicken pieces, cleaned ( I used chicken drumsticks)
2 tsp ginger-garlic paste
1 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp coriander powder
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1/2 tsp cumin powder
1 1/2 tsp chilli flakes
1 tbsp lemon juice
2 sprig curry leaves
1 medium onion, thinly sliced
1 tbsp crushed ginger-garlic
1/2 tsp garam masala
salt to taste
3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
5-6 tbsp oil, or as required
Preparation:
- Clean the chicken pieces and marinate it with ginger-garlic paste, kashmiri chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, pepper powder, cumin powder, chilli flakes, lemon juice, curry leaves and salt and keep it aside for atleast 1 hour.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces in batches until roasted on both sides. Transfer to a plate / bowl.
- In the same pan, add sliced onion and crushed ginger-garlic and saute for 2-3 minutes adding 1/4 tsp salt.
- Add fried chicken into this, mix well and roast for about 10-15 minutes at medium-low flame, stirring in between.
- Add garam masala, curry leaves and chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Switch off the flame and serve hot....
