Tuna Peera Pattichathu / Canned Tuna Peera

Ingredients:
2 small can tuna
1 tbsp ginger, chopped
1 small onion ( or 6-7 shallots ) , chopped
5-6 green chillies, chopped
2 sprig curry leaves
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1/4 tsp chilli powder
1-1 1/2 cup grated coconut
1-2 kudampuli / gambooje
salt to taste
1 tbsp + 1 tsp coconut oil
Preparation:
- Wash and soak kudampuli in little water for 15 minutes.
- Open the tuna cans and drain the water and keep it aside.
- Heat 1 tbsp oil in a pan/ clay pot and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add chopped ginger, onion, green chillies and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add turmeric powder and chilli powder and mix well.
- Add grated coconut, kudampuli pieces, tuna and salt and mix well with spatula.
- Sprinkle little water and cook covered at low flame till done and all the water dries up, stirring in between.
- Add 1 tsp coconut oil and few curry leaves and mix well. Remove from the flame and serve with rice...
