Ingredients:


1/2 kg beef, cut into pieces

2 potatoes, peeled and chopped into big cubes

2 medium onions, sliced

6 shallots, sliced

1 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste

1 sprig curry leaves

2 tbsp sliced coconut

1 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder

1/2 tbsp coriander powder

1 tsp turmeric powder

1/2 tbsp garam masala

1/2 tbsp pepper powder

salt to taste

2 tbsp coconut oil


Preparation:


  1. Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced coconut, onions, shallots, ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves and saute well.
  2. Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper powder and mix well until raw smell goes.
  3. Then add cleaned beef pieces, cubed potato and salt and mix well.
  4. Add 1/3 cup of water and mix well and pressure cook at high flame for 1 whistle and then lower the flame and cook for 5-6 whistles or till done.
  5. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and mix well. Serve with neer dosa, pathiri , ghee rice, puttu etc..
