Ingredients:
1/2 kg beef, cut into pieces
2 potatoes, peeled and chopped into big cubes
2 medium onions, sliced
6 shallots, sliced
1 1/2 tbsp ginger-garlic paste
1 sprig curry leaves
2 tbsp sliced coconut
1 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1/2 tbsp coriander powder
1 tsp turmeric powder
1/2 tbsp garam masala
1/2 tbsp pepper powder
salt to taste
2 tbsp coconut oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pressure cooker and add sliced coconut, onions, shallots, ginger-garlic paste and curry leaves and saute well.
- Add chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala and pepper powder and mix well until raw smell goes.
- Then add cleaned beef pieces, cubed potato and salt and mix well.
- Add 1/3 cup of water and mix well and pressure cook at high flame for 1 whistle and then lower the flame and cook for 5-6 whistles or till done.
- Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and mix well. Serve with neer dosa, pathiri , ghee rice, puttu etc..
