Ingredients:


1/2 kg beef with bones, cut into pieces

2 medium onions, chopped

2 tbsp garlic, crushed

1 tbsp ginger, crushed

2 green chillies, slit

1 big tomato, chopped

3 sprig curry leaves

1 1/2 tbsp chilli powder

1 1/2 tbsp coriander powder

1/2 tsp turmeric powder

1 tsp garam masala

1 tsp + 1/2-1 tsp pepper powder

1 tsp fennel powder

1 tbsp + 2 tbsp coconut oil

salt to taste

1 tbsp crushed ginger-garlic

1/2 cup shallots, sliced

1/2 tbsp lemon juice


Preparation:


  1. In a pressure cooker, add cleaned beef pieces, chopped onion, green chillies, tomato, crushed garlic, ginger, curry leaves, chilli powder, coriander powder, turmeric powder, garam masala, 1 tsp pepper powder, fennel powder, salt and 1 tbsp oil and mix well.
  2. Then cook it covered for 7-8 whistles or till the beef is cooked well.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp coconut oil in a thick bottomed pan/ cast iron pan and add crushed ginger-garlic and curry leaves and saute.
  4. Add sliced shallots and saute well till soft.
  5. Add cooked beef into this and roast well at high flame.
  6. Add 1/2-1 tsp pepper powder and mix well.
  7. Add lemon juice and mix well. Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.
