Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup white rice / raw rice ( pachari )
1 carrot , peeled and chopped
1/2 cup cooked rice
1 egg
salt to taste
oil, for frying
Preparation:
- Wash and soak the rice in water for 5-6 hours.
- In a blender, add the chopped carrot and blend well.
- Then add drained rice, cooked rice, egg, salt and little water and grind well together to a smooth semi thick batter. It should have a pourable consistency.
- Transfer it to a bowl, mix well and keep it covered for 15 minutes.
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan and pour a ladle of batter in the middle and allow to cook at medium flame.
- When puffed up, flip it to other side and fry till it turns light golden brown colour.
- Serve hot with any spicy curry of your choice...
