Ingredients:


1 1/2 cup white rice / raw rice ( pachari )

1 carrot , peeled and chopped

1/2 cup cooked rice

1 egg

salt to taste

oil, for frying


Preparation:


  1. Wash and soak the rice in water for 5-6 hours.
  2. In a blender, add the chopped carrot and blend well.
  3. Then add drained rice, cooked rice, egg, salt and little water and grind well together to a smooth semi thick batter. It should have a pourable consistency.
  4. Transfer it to a bowl, mix well and keep it covered for 15 minutes.
  5. Heat oil in a deep frying pan and pour a ladle of batter in the middle and allow to cook at medium flame.
  6. When puffed up, flip it to other side and fry till it turns light golden brown colour.
  7. Serve hot with any spicy curry of your choice...
