Crispy Fried Bananas / Banana Fries

Ingredients:
2 ripe plantains / kerala bananas ( nendrapazham)
1 cup plain flour
2 tbsp cornflour
1 tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
1/4 tsp salt
1 cup water
2 pinch baking soda
1 cup bread crumbs, or as required
oil, for frying
Preparation:
- Peel the bananas and cut them in half and then slice lengthwise and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add plain flour, cornflour, sugar, cardamom powder and salt and mix well.
- Add water little by little and mix well using a whisk to a smooth batter.
- Add 2 pinch of baking soda and mix well.
- Dip the banana pieces in this batter and coat well with bread crumbs.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry them on both sides until crispy and golden brown.
- Remove from the oil and drain them on a paper towel....Serve hot..
