Ingredients:


1/2 kg mutton, cut into pieces

1 onion, sliced

4 garlic cloves, crushed

small piece ginger, crushed

2 green chillies, crushed

1 tomato, chopped

1 1/2 tsp pepper powder

1 1/2 tsp garam masala

1/4 tsp fennel powder

1/4 tsp cardamom powder

salt to taste

1 cup grated coconut

3-4 green chillies

1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped

2 tbsp coconut oil


Preparation:


  1. Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker and add crushed garlic, ginger and green chillies and saute well.
  2. Add sliced onion and saute well adding little salt.
  3. Add chopped tomato and saute well till soft.
  4. Add pepper powder, garam masala, fennel powder and cardamom powder and mix well.
  5. Add cleaned mutton pieces and salt and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
  6. Add enough water and pressure cook it till done.
  7. Grind grated coconut and 3-4 green chillies together to a smooth paste adding warm water.
  8. Add this ground coconut paste to the cooked mutton and mix well and cook for few minutes in medium flame. Adjust water and salt.
  9. Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
  10. Remove from the flame and serve hot...
