Ingredients:
1/2 kg mutton, cut into pieces
1 onion, sliced
4 garlic cloves, crushed
small piece ginger, crushed
2 green chillies, crushed
1 tomato, chopped
1 1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp fennel powder
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
salt to taste
1 cup grated coconut
3-4 green chillies
1 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp coconut oil
Preparation:
- Heat coconut oil in a pressure cooker and add crushed garlic, ginger and green chillies and saute well.
- Add sliced onion and saute well adding little salt.
- Add chopped tomato and saute well till soft.
- Add pepper powder, garam masala, fennel powder and cardamom powder and mix well.
- Add cleaned mutton pieces and salt and mix well for 2-3 minutes.
- Add enough water and pressure cook it till done.
- Grind grated coconut and 3-4 green chillies together to a smooth paste adding warm water.
- Add this ground coconut paste to the cooked mutton and mix well and cook for few minutes in medium flame. Adjust water and salt.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mix well.
- Remove from the flame and serve hot...
