Ingredients:
1 cup oats
2-3 cups water
150 gm chicken pieces ( I used boneless)
1/2 onion, chopped
1 cardamom
2 cloves
small piece cinnamon
salt to taste
1-1 1/2 cup milk, or as required
2 tbsp ghee
For Garnishing:
1 tbsp ghee
1/2 onion / 3 shallots, thinly sliced
8-10 cashew nuts
Preparation:
- In a pressure cooker, add oats, chopped onion, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, chicken pieces, salt and 2 cups of water and cook for 2 whistles.
- Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and remove the whole spices and chicken pieces.
- Shred the chicken pieces and add this again and mix well with wooden spatula till everything is mashed well.
- Add required milk and 2 tbsp ghee, mix well and bring it to a boil. Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.
- Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a small pan and add thinly sliced onion and cashew nuts and fry till it turns golden brown.
- Pour it over the prepared aleesa and serve warm...
