Ingredients:


1 cup oats

2-3 cups water

150 gm chicken pieces ( I used boneless)

1/2 onion, chopped

1 cardamom

2 cloves

small piece cinnamon

salt to taste

1-1 1/2 cup milk, or as required

2 tbsp ghee


For Garnishing:


1 tbsp ghee

1/2 onion / 3 shallots, thinly sliced

8-10 cashew nuts


Preparation:


  1. In a pressure cooker, add oats, chopped onion, cardamom, cloves, cinnamon, chicken pieces, salt and 2 cups of water and cook for 2 whistles.
  2. Once the pressure releases, open the cooker and remove the whole spices and chicken pieces.
  3. Shred the chicken pieces and add this again and mix well with wooden spatula till everything is mashed well.
  4. Add required milk and 2 tbsp ghee, mix well and bring it to a boil. Adjust the salt and switch off the flame.
  5. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a small pan and add thinly sliced onion and cashew nuts and fry till it turns golden brown.
  6. Pour it over the prepared aleesa and serve warm...
