Ingredients:


1/4 cup unripe pineapple ( pacha pineapple) , finely chopped

1/2 tsp chilli powder

1/4 tsp turmeric powder

1 cup grated coconut

1 big green chilli

1 tsp crushed mustard seeds

1/2-3/4 cup yogurt, less sour

1 tsp mustard seeds

1 sprig curry leaves

2 dry red chillies

salt to taste

1 tbsp oil


Preparation:


  1. Grind grated coconut and green chilli together to a smooth thick paste and then add 1 tsp crushed mustard seeds to this and mix well. Keep it aside.
  2. In a pan, add chopped pineapple, turmeric powder, chilli powder and salt and cook adding little water till cooked and the water dries.
  3. Add ground coconut paste and stir well continuously till the raw smell goes.
  4. Switch off the flame and allow to cool slightly.
  5. Then add the beaten yogurt and sugar and mix well.
  6. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds and add dry red chillies and curry leaves.
  7. Pour this over the pachadi and mix well and serve with rice...
