Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup rava / semolina
1/4 cup wheat flour
1 tbsp sugar
1 tsp yeast
2 cups warm water
salt to taste
Preparation:
- In a blender, add rava, wheat flour, sugar, yeast and salt and blend well adding 1 cup of warm water.
- Then add 1 cup warm water and blend well again to a smooth batter.
- Transfer to a bowl , mix well and keep it covered for 1 hour.
- Heat a pan/ tawa on medium flame and pour a ladleful of batter into the hot tawa.
- When bubbles/ holes start appearing at the surface, cook it covered at medium - low flame.
- Remove the ottada from the pan and transfer it to a plate. Repeat the same with the remaining batter.. Serve with any curry of your choice…
