Ingredients:
1 1/2 cup macaroni
150 gm chicken, cut into small pieces
2 medium onions, finely chopped
2 tbsp ginger-garlic-green chilli paste
1 tomato, chopped
1 tsp chilli powder
1/4 tsp + 1/2 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp + 1 tbsp lemon juice
1 tsp cornflour
1/2 tsp pepper powder
1 1/2 tsp garam masala / biriyani masala
1/4 tsp fennel powder
2 tbsp yogurt
1 tbsp tomato sauce
1 tbsp soy sauce
3 tbsp coriander leaves, chopped
2 tbsp mint leaves, chopped
1 tbsp ghee
salt to taste
oil, as required
Preparation:
- Boil water in a deep pan, add macaroni, 1 tbsp of oil and salt and cook for 8-10 minutes or according to the package instructions. Drain the pasta and keep it aside.
- Marinate chicken pieces with 1 tsp chilli powder, 1/4 tsp turmeric powder, salt, 1 tsp lemon juice and 1 tsp cornflour and keep it aside for 10 minutes.
- Heat oil in a pan and fry the marinated chicken pieces and keep it aside.
- Heat 2 tbsp of fried oil in a pan and add finely chopped onions and salt and saute well.
- Add ginger-garlic-green chilli paste and saute well till raw smell goes.
- Add chopped tomato and saute well till soft and mushy.
- Add turmeric powder, pepper powder, garam masala and fennel powder and mix well.
- Add 1 tbsp lemon juice and yogurt and mix well.
- Add tomato sauce and soy sauce and mix well.
- Add chopped coriander leaves and mint leaves and mix well.
- Add ghee and mix well. Add 1/2 cup of water and mix well.
- When it boils, add fried chicken and mix well.
- Add cooked macaroni and mix till well combined and cook for another 2-3 minutes on low flame.
