Chana / Chickpea – Vegetable Salad


1 cup white chickpeas / chana
1 cucumber
1 red onion
1/2 green capsicum
1/2 red capsicum
1/2 yellow capsicum
1 tbsp lemon juice, or as required
pepper powder
salt to taste


  1. Soak the chickpeas/ chana in water for hours and pressure cook it with salt adding enough water until soft. Drain the water and keep it aside.
  2. Finely chop all the vegetables ( I used chopper).
  3. In a mixing bowl, add chickpeas, chopped vegetables, lemon juice, pepper powder and salt and mix well…Healthy salad is ready….
