Apple Kesari / Apple Sheera


1 cup apple, peeled and finely chopped
1 cup rava / semolina
1 – 1 1/4 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup water
3/4 cup milk
1/4-1/2 cup ghee
1/2 tsp cardamom powder
2 tbsp almonds / badam, chopped


  1. Heat 1 tbsp ghee in a pan and fry chopped almonds and keep it aside.
  2. In the same pan, add the rava / semolina and roast at low flame and keep it aside.
  3. Heat 2 tbsp ghee in a pan and add finely chopped apple and saute well.
  4. Add sugar to this and saute well till sugar dissolves.
  5. Add roasted rava and mix well. Then add water and milk to this and mix well.
  6. When the mixture starts thickening, add the remaining ghee little by little and stir well. Add cardamom powder and fried almonds and mix well.
  7. When the mixture separates from the pan, switch off the flame. Garnish with almonds and serve…
