1/2 kg aval / brown rice flakes
1 cup grated coconut
3/4 cup sugar ( add more or less according to your taste)
4-5 tbsp ghee
- Heat a thick bottomed pan and add the rice flakes and dry fry till crispy. Transfer this to a plate/ bowl.
- In the same pan, add the grated coconut and fry/ roast on low flame till all the water dries up and it becomes light brown.
- Then add fried rice flakes,sugar and ghee into this and mix well, stirring continuously till the sugar is well mixed with rice flakes-coconut mixture.
- When the mixture turns brown and crispy, remove from the flame. Allow it to cool and transfer to an air tight container…
