Ingredients:
250 gm mussels/ kallummakaya
1 cup gram flour
1/4 cup rice flour
1 tsp chilli powder
1/2 tsp garam masala
1/4 tsp asafoetida
salt to taste
oil for frying
Preparation:
- Clean the mussels and keep it aside.
- In a bowl, add gram flour, rice flour, chilli powder, garam masala, asafoetida and salt, mix well and make a medium thick paste adding enough water.
- Heat oil in a pan on medium heat and dip the cleaned mussels in the batter and deep fry until it turns golden colour on both the sides. Serve with tea or coffee….
