1/2 cup pottukadala / roasted gram
1 cup grated coconut
2 green chillies
small piece ginger
salt to taste
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
2 dried red chillies
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tbsp oil
- Grind roasted gram, grated coconut, green chillies, ginger, shallot and salt together to a smooth paste adding enough water. Transfer it into a serving bowl.
- Heat oil in a small pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add dry red chillies and curry leaves.
- Pour the seasoning over the chutney,mix well and serve with idli/ dosa…..
- If the chutney is thick, you can adjust the consistency by adding little water….
