Okra / Vendakka Thengapal


250 g tender okra / vendakka
2 green chillies, slit
1 tsp crushed pepper
1 cup thin coconut milk
1/2 cup thick coconut milk
salt to taste
1 sprig curry leaves


  1. Wash and cut the okra into big pieces.
  2. In a pan, add okra, thin coconut milk, slit green chillies, crushed pepper, salt and curry leaves and cook covered till done.
  3. Then add thick coconut milk and mix well and switch off the flame when it thickens…Serve as a side dish with rice…
