Red Velvet Brownies


3/4 cup plain flour
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/2 cup (113 gm) unsalted butter, melted
1 tbsp oil
3/4 cup sugar
1/2 tsp salt
2 eggs
1 tsp vinegar
1 tsp vanilla essence
1 tsp red food colour
1/4 cup white chocolate


  1. Preheat the oven at 180 degree celcius. Grease and line a square pan or a brownie pan.
  2. In a mixing bowl, add melted butter, oil, sugar and salt and mix well using whisk.
  3. Add eggs, vinegar, vanilla essence and red food colour and mix well.
  4. Add plain flour and cocoa powder through sieve and combine well.
  5. Pour the prepared batter to the greased and lined pan and spread evenly.
  6. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until a skewer inserted at the centre of the brownie comes out clean.
  7. Remove from the oven and allow them to cool completely on a cooling rack before cutting into squares.
  8. To decorate, melt white chocolate in microwave at 30 second intervals for 1 minutes or until the chocolate is melted and smooth when stirred.
  9. Drizzle this melted chocolate all over the brownies. Let the chocolate set for a few minutes and then serve….
