Ingredients:
200 gm cherry tomatoes
1 onion, finely chopped
1 tsp ginger, crushed
1 tsp garlic, crushed
3 green chillies, slit
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tsp turmeric powder
400 ml yogurt
1/4 tsp asafoetida
salt to taste
1 tsp mustard seeds
2 tbsp oil
Preparation:
- Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds.
- Add finely chopped onion, crushed ginger, garlic, green chillies, curry leaves and salt and saute well.
- Add turmeric powder and mix well till raw smell goes.
- Add 1 cup of water, cherry tomatoes and asafoetida, mix well and boil till the tomatoes are half cooked. Don’t overcook the tomatoes..
- Add beaten yogurt and mix well and heat for 2-3 minutes. Don’t allow to boil.
- Switch off the flame and serve with rice….
