Easy Chicken Roast


600 g chicken, cleaned
3 medium onions, chopped
2 tbsp ginger-garlic, crushed
3 green chillies, chopped
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
1 tsp coriander powder
2 1/2 tbsp kashmiri chilli powder
1 tsp garam masala
1 tsp lemon juice
3 tbsp tomato sauce
1/2 tsp crushed pepper
3 sprig curry leaves
salt to taste
4 tbsp coconut oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan and add crushed ginger- garlic and chopped green chillies and saute at medium flame.
  2. Add chopped onion and salt and saute well till golden.
  3. Add turmeric powder, coriander powder, kashmiri chilli powder and garam masala and saute for a minute.
  4. Add cleaned chicken pieces, lemon juice and curry leaves and mix well for 5 minutes at medium flame.
  5. Add 1/4 cup of water and cook covered at medium flame for 10 minutes, stirring in between.
  6. Then reduce the flame to low and cook for about 3-4 minutes.
  7. Open the lid and stir for 2 minutes and add tomato sauce, crushed pepper and curry leaves and mix well for another 2-3 minutes.
  8. Remove from the flame and serve hot…
