Lemon Idiyappam


2 cups idiyappam, shredded
1 small onion, chopped
1/4 tsp ginger, finely chopped
1 green chilli, finely chopped
1 sprig curry leaves
1 tbsp lemon juice
1/2 tsp mustard seeds
1/2 tsp urad dal
1/2 tsp chana dal
2 dry red chillies, broken
1/4 tsp turmeric powder
salt to taste
2 tsp oil


  1. Heat oil in a pan and splutter mustard seeds. Add urad dal, chana dal, curry leaves, dry red chillies, onion, green chilli, ginger and salt and saute until lightly brown.
  2. Add turmeric powder into this and mix well.
  3. Add cooked idiyappam and mix it gently. Add lemon juice and mix well. Serve hot or warm..
