Mutta Marichathu / Sweet Egg Snack


5 eggs
3-4 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp cardamom powder
a pinch of salt
1 tbsp cashew nuts
1 tbsp raisins
2 tsp ghee


  1. In a bowl, add eggs, sugar, cardamom powder and a pinch of salt and beat well till sugar dissolves using a fork / whisk.
  2. Heat ghee in a thick bottomed non stick pan and fry cashew nuts and raisins and keep it aside.
  3. In the same pan, pour the prepared egg mixture and cook covered at low flame.
  4. After 5 minutes, open the lid and place fried cashew nuts and raisins and then cook covered at low flame for about 10-15 minutes or till the skewer inserted in the center comes out clean.
  5. Remove to a serving dish, cut it into pieces and serve..
